What does the job entail?
The Community Manager is a position of critical importance and essential forthe seamless operation, growth and stability of our organization. The position is responsible for the administrative, physical and financial oversight of the property, as well as the supervision of all property personnel and maintenance staff. Community Managers also act as the first point of contact for our residents. To that end, the responsibilities of the Community Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Provide input for performance reviews
- Assist in training and supervising all property personnel, following and enforcing company policy.
- Make daily bank deposits.
- Approve all invoices for complete and satisfactory service.
- In conjunction with the General Manager or Regional Manager, assist in formulation of budgets for each upcoming calendar year
- Ensure compliance with all financing sources, including but not limited to:
- Section 42 and 811
- HUD
- FHLB
- HOME
- Project Based Rental Assistance
- Ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance requests.
- Inspect units for potential problems, repairs, or replacements.
- Work with contractors as necessary to complete maintenance projects.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in multifamily community management
- Tax Credit Certification (or to be obtained within 120 days of hire)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Competency in Word and Excel
- Honest and friendly personality.
- High degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management and personnel.
- Capacity to work productively under pressure
- Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
